The lovely beach of Lovina sits alongside the sparkling black sand beaches of north Bali. This is a place for those who want an escape from the hassle of South Bali’s traffic and have a chance to enjoy more unspoiled nature. Sunrise boat trips to see the dolphins are one of Lovina’s special attractions Dolphin trips are best arranged the day before you wish to go.

The water in Lovina is clear and some parts of the reef are quite good for snorkeling. There is also a well-established scuba diving industry here and the local reef is particularly good at lower depths; night diving is also recommended.

Lovina is 8km west of Singaraja, the capital town of the Buleleng District. With it’s close proximity to Singaraja, Lovina is easy to reach with public transportation. If you travel from Kuta to Lovina, catch the bus from Bemo Corner in Kuta, and travel to Tegal bus station, interchange from there to Ubung bus station where you can catch the bus to Singaraja. Use the local bus at Singaraja for the Lovina beach area.
